JP Soars announces his new release on Little Village Records, "Brick By Brick" out June 30, 2024!

J.P. Soars Builds His House Brick By Brick

Several years ago J.P. Soars became aware that he was building his audience oneperson at a time. He’d win a new fan, or several, every time he played and eventually he knew he could create a healthy career if he stuck with it.“It all seemed very natural,” says Soars, who titled his new album Brick By Brick is a testament to his approach. “The album is very reflective of how I have built my music career, one brick at a time.”The new album by the Boca Raton, Fla. musician is his first for Little Village (release date: June 30, 2024 ) and shines a light on the multi-dimensional musical talents of Soars. In addition to his base of blues-rock, Soars displays his affection for the influences of gypsy jazz, country, Latin, rock and heavy metal.

Early Times’ to release “Zodiac Griot” Friday May 3rd on dealer’s choice records

Early Times will release his new album Zodiac Griot on Friday, May 3, 2024 on Dealer’s Choice Records. The album features 8 original compositions and is the follow up to his 2022 album Electric City. The album features Early Times on guitar along with drummer Adam Nussbaum (Michael Brecker Quartet, Gil Evans Orchestra, John Scofield, Stan Getz, Eliane Elias) and organist Adam Scone (4 time Jazz Ambassador with Lincoln Center & Kennedy Center for the Arts, J.J. Grey & MOFRO, and is a Daptone Recording artist) The album was engineered by Grammy® winner Chris Sulit and mixed by Jay Messina (engineered/mixed for Miles Davis, Steve Gadd, Aerosmith).
Early Times is a composer with a list of songs that have received national and international airplay. He has toured the U.S. and Europe and was once awarded the Critics’ Choice as Best Guitarist in his hometown Sacramento’s music awards. After high school, he began to play every weekend on the Delta King Riverboat as well as other local venues playing blues and straight-ahead jazz. It was during that time that he learned the music of the great American songbook as well as the classic bebop and post-bop repertoire. Artists including Jimmy Smith came to sit in with Early Times in the early 90s. He now returns to those roots with the seasoning only decades of professional experience can demonstrate. Zodiac Griot features all original compositions by Times covering the styles of soul-jazz, blues, bebop, ballads, calypso, and bossa nova. Zodiac Griot follows the album Electric City and looks to expand upon that momentum while returning Times to his soulful and bluesy jazz guitar roots and showcasing his breadth of styles on the guitar.

Although just 21 years old, his experience as a professional musician goes back 10+ years. That early experience includes playing regularly in some of Nashville’s most notable venues (The Bluebird Cafe, The Ryman Auditorium, 3rd & Lindsley). It also includes North American and European tours and multiple appearances on national television (Imus In The Morning, CBS Mornings).

EarlY Times & The High Rollers

“...Known nationally as a groundbreaking deejay on Sirius Satellite Radio, the precursor to SiriusXM, Early Times is one of the most enigmatic folks in the blues world – a guitarist and vocalist of note who’s reinvented himself as a New York-based street poet and blues-rocker… Early Times is stronger than the whisky that shares his name when it comes to fashioning clever lyrics atop a true-blue beat. You’ll be toasting him repeatedly when your listening is done.” - Blues Blast Magazine

More than a guitar player,  Early Times is an Artist. Songwriter. Frontman. Performer... Every show is its own separate experience, each venue, crowd and atmosphere different from the last. One thing remains the same, everyone leaves a fan and having felt part of something original and exciting, rare and special to that very experience. He is a true Entertainer in every sense of the word.
